The earliest of the family on record. He was alive and standing beside his son at Coulonge in May 1706; his wife Marthe had died before that day. The act has been examined here: it reads Hunot, though the hand is awkward and the name has also been read Hanot. Their sons were Rene and Jacques, both named in the act, and Etienne Trouillet is called Rene's cousin, which makes Marguerite Courteau, Etienne's mother, very likely a sister of this Rene. Her own burial at Coulonge in February 1695 gives her as forty and the wife of Vincent Trouillet, so she was born about 1655. Nothing earlier than him has been found: his own baptism would fall in the years 1682 to 1685, which are missing from the Coulonge film, and neither his marriage nor his burial has turned up in the registers searched so far.
